Anne R. Arko

Funeral Mass for Anne R. Arko, 92, of Gilbert, will be 11am Tuesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Gilbert with Fr. Frank Perkovich as celebrant. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the Gilbert Cemetery. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert. Mrs. Arko died Thurs. Jan. 6, 2011 at the Virginia Regional Medical Center. She was born July 6, 1918 in Missabe Mountain Township, MN to John and Annie (Dosich) Glatch. Anne attended Gilbert schools and later married Frank Arko on Aug. 7, 1937 in Gilbert. She was a homemaker, a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, its Council of Catholic Women and served many meals in the church kitchen. Anne volunteered for the Meals-on-Wheels program and enjoyed listening to Polka music. Survivors include her children, Robert (Colleen) Arko of Kimberly, WI, Lawrence (Sandra) Arko of Arvada, CO, Edward Arko of Arvada, CO and Judith (John) Trunzo of Virginia, grandchildren, Lance Arko, Greg Arko, Susan (Brian) Schuh, Frank (Nancie) Arko, Michele (Terry) Janke and Richard (Paula) Trunzo, great grandchildren, Tyler Arko, Jayson Arko, Ruby Higgins-Arko and Kaili Schuh, brothers, Edward and Rudy Glatch, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Frank, brothers, Joseph, Tony and Donald, sisters, Angeline, Molly and Mary
