Funeral Mass for Bruno Emilio Malich, 88, of Eveleth, will be 10am Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Resurrection Catholic Church in Eveleth with Fr. Charles Flynn as celebrant. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-6pm at Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert and also for one hour prior to the mass at church. Burial will be in the Eveleth Cemetery. Mr. Malich died Sat. March 5, 2011 at St. Raphael's Health and Rehab Center in Eveleth. He was born Nov. 7, 1922 in Pola, Italy and married Vincenza Borrielli on Aug. 15, 1945 in Taranto, Italy. In 1951 they immigrated to the United States, settling in Eveleth. Bruno worked at Erie Mining Company as a drill operator and retired from LTV Steel in 1981. In 1983 he began working with his son, Frank at Frank's Tire in Gilbert. He retired from there in 2008. Survivors include his wife, Vincenza; children, Anna Roberts of Virginia, Gaetano Malich of Portland, Oregon, Antonietta (Warner) Myntti of Reed City, Mich. and Frank Malich of Gilbert; 25 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; sister, Tia in Italy. he was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter, Deeann Rahn and a daughter-in-law, Donna Malich.
