Betty Ann Klaras

Funeral Mass for Betty Ann Klaras, 69, of Hoyt Lakes, will be 10am Monday March 28 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Hoyt Lakes with Fr. Steven Daigle as celebrant. Visitation will be Sunday from 6-8pm with recitation of the rosary at 7:30pm in Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora and continue for one hour prior to mass at the church on Monday. Burial will be in the Hoyt Lakes Memorial Cemetery. Betty died peacefully Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at her home. She was born Aug. 13, 1941 in Mountain Lake, Minnesota and graduated from high school in Madelia, MN. She married Jerome "Jerry" Klaras in 1959. They lived in St. James, MN until the family moved to Hoyt Lakes in 1967. She was a homemaker and mother of six. Survivors include her husband, Jerry of 52 years; sons: Jerry (Jan) of Ballinger, TX and Mark (Jill) of Roseville, MN; four daughters: Karmen (Craig) Kurpius of Red Wing, Kathy (Dan) Johnson of Isanti, Karen Klaras of Hoyt Lakes and Kelly Klaras of Minneapolis; six grandchildren: Jerrod and Jeffrey Klaras, Kally (Phil) Kruchten, Hunter, Gracie and Bella Klaras; three great grandchildren; sisters: Connie and Marcie of Arizona and Audrey of Crystal, MN; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Loretta Stapleford; two brothers: Richard and Eugene Bagley; sister, Maxine.
