Memorial service for Duane A. Jagol, 60, of Lakeland, will be 11am Monday, April 4, 2011 in Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Aurora with Rev. Paul Buettner officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora. Duane died Tues. March 29, 2011 at Essentia Health in Duluth following a courageous seven year battle with cancer. He was born Oct. 11, 1950 in Crookston, MN to Alec and Anna Jagol. Duane was a 1968 graduate of Warren High School and completed two years at the University of Minnesota-Crookston. Duane married Jean Jakse on Apr. 29, 1972 in Hibbing, MN. Duane worked for Minntac/USX as a locomotive mechanic for 30 years. They moved to Lakeland in 2010. Survivors include his wife, Jean of Lakeland; daughter, Michelle (Mark) Gunnerson of Duluth; son, Kevin Jagol of Eveleth; siblings: Joseph (Margie) Jagol of Goodridge, Edward (Arlene) Jagol of Thief River Falls, Mary (George) Jorgenson of Iron, Alice (Edward) Nephew of Fertile, Joyce (Ray) Olson of Thief River Falls, Evie (Alton) Kalsnes of Forest Lake, Arlene Tholkes of Mpls., Donna (Larry) Holmes of Biwabik and Sandy (Greg) Johnson of Warren; mother-in-law: Ardelle Jakse of Appleton, WI; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents: Alec and Anna; siblings: Rosie Nicholson and Alvin Jagol; father-in-law: Victor Jakse
