Funeral Mass for Caroline Beton, 73, of Eveleth, formerly of Gilbert, will be 10:30am Wednesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Gilbert with Fr. Frank F. Perkovich as celebrant. Visitation will be today (Tuesday) from 5-7pm with recitation of the rosary at 6:30pm. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the mass at church. Burial will be in the Gilbert Cemetery. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert. Carol died Saturday, April 9, 2011 at the Interim Health Care in Duluth, MN She was born Sept. 10, 1937 in Eveleth, MN to Anton and Mary (Peterka) Strukel. Carol was a graduate of Eveleth High School and later from the Hibbing School of Cosmetology. In 1956 she married William Beton in Eveleth, MN. Carol was a self-employed hairdresser for over 45 years in Gilbert. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and its guilds, the George and Mark Klobuchar VFW Auxiliary and served as President many times for the Beauticians Association. Survivors include her children: Cheryl (Rick) Sebunia of Gilbert, Paul (Kerry) Beton of Lakeville and Kim (Tom) Allen of Farmington; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; brother: Dr. Robert (Janet) Strukel of Yuma, AZ; sister-in-law: Pauline Beton of Gilbert. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, William and a great grandson in infancy.
