Arne E. Nybo Jr.

Memorial service for Arne E. Nybo Jr., 67, of Eveleth, will be 1pm Monday, April 18, 2011 in Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Virginia with Pastor Brenda Tibbets AIM officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Greenwood Cemetery in Virginia. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert. Mr. Nybo Jr. died Wed. April 13, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN. He was born June 6, 1943 in St. Paul, MN to Arne and Elizabeth (Vogt) Nybo Sr. He was a 1961 graduate of Detroit Lakes High School and later enlisted with the US National Guard for six years. On Oct. 2, 1965 he married Lily Ann Parker in Mt. Iron, MN. Arne worked as a truck driver for Smith Tire, later for Kirscher, and finally for Transport America. He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and the Virginia American Legion Post 239. He especially enjoyed time spent at Lake Vermilion and in the outdoors. Survivors include his wife, Lily of Eveleth; son, Timothy of Eveleth; special granddaughter, Chloe Nybo; brothers: Gerald of Long Beach, Miss. and Steve of Detroit Lakes; sisters: Annette Pawlak of Detroit Lakes and Peggy Olson of Lake Park; several nieces and nephews and a special cousin, Judy Larson. He was preceded in death by his parents.
