Memorial service for Susan M. Turk, 58, of Aurora, will be 11:30am Friday, June 17, 2011 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Aurora with Fr. Steven Daigle officiating. A memorial visitation will be Thursday from 5-7pm at Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora and continue for one hour prior to the service at the church. Inurnment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Aurora. Memorials may be directed to the East Range Hospice or Care Partners. Susan died Monday, June 13, 2011 at Essentia Health Hospice in Duluth. She was born May 15, 1953 in Detroit Lakes, MN to Vaino and Elsie Kivi. She was a graduate of Aurora/Hoyt Lakes High School and later attended the Eveleth Vo-Tech. On Oct. 29, 1971 she married Robert Turk Jr. Sue was a homemaker and later worked for Barry's Up North. She most recently worked in the cafeteria at Mesabi East Schools for several years until retiring to care for her grandchildren. Sue always enjoyed a good time; especially at the shack in Skibo. She also made several afghans that she enjoyed making for family and friends. Sue was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, its guild and pastoral council. Survivors include her husband, Bobby; daughters: Amy Turk of Hoyt Lakes and Melissa (Skeeter) Lamppa of Hoyt Lakes; grandchildren: Maggie and Allie Lamppa; mother: Elsie (David) Patrow of Hoyt Lakes; siblings: Les (Pat) Kivi, Sandy (Vern) Hoechst, Donna (Steve) Dean and Curt (Michele) Kivi; mother-in-law: Phyllis Turk; brothers and sisters in law: Mary (Bob) Westlund, Nancy (Paul) Martinetto and Rick (Shari) Turk; step-sister and brother: Carol (Tim) Wallace and Mike Patrow; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Thanks to her two special angels, Diane Fondie and Joanne Ceglar. She was preceded in death by her father, Vaino (1990) and father-in-law: Robert Turk Sr.
