Janice Marie Omdahl

Funeral service for Janice Marie Omdahl, 59, of rural Aurora, will be 3pm Friday at Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora with Pastor Charles Barnes officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Janice died Sunday, July 24, 2011 at Essentia Health in Duluth, MN. She was born February 16, 1952 in Ironwood, Michigan to Herbert and Marie (Vronch) Erickson. On August 16, 1969 she married Leland Omdahl in Ironwood. Janice worked for MinnTac for over 20 years. Janice was an avid fisher woman who loved the outdoors and spending time in the boat. Survivors include her husband, Leland; children, Leland Jr (Pam) Omdahl of Ely and Charlene (Steve) Carlson of Clermont, FL; grandchildren, MacKenna Omdahl and Blake, Bailey and Calvin Carlson; mother, Marie Erickson of Ironwood, sisters, Delores (Robert) Vitton of Hurley and Mary (Perry) LaSart of Mt Iron; brother, Ronald (Carol) Erickson of Ironwood, several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Herbert.
