Angeline M. Karish

Funeral Mass for Angeline M. Karish, 100, of Biwabik, will be 10am Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at St. John's Catholic Church in Biwabik with Fr. Steven Daigle celebrating the mass. Visitation will be one hour prior to the mass at church. Burial will be in the Lakeside Cemetery in Biwabik, MN. Arrangments by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora. Mrs. Karish died Sunday, July 31, 2011 at Northern Pines Medical Center in Aurora, MN. She was born April 27, 1911 in Eveleth, MN to John and Frances (Zallar) Anzelc. Follwoing her schooling, she married Louis Karish on Sept. 14, 1929. Angeline worked for the Cluett Peabody Shirt Factory in Gilbert and in the cafeteria at the Biwabik Schools. She was also a homemaker, a member of St. John's Catholic Church, the All-Slav Club and a past member of the Slovenian Women's Union for 72 years. She was also a member of the 4-H Club at Lake Eshquaguma, the Biwabik Garden Club, the Biwabik Senior Citizens and was a Biwabik ice rink attendant. She especially enjoyed time spent listening to music, dancing, walking and with her family and friends. Survivors include her daughter, Marcy Koski of Aurora; son, Kenneth (Kathy) Karish of Tower; grandchildren, Cindy, Cathy, Gregg, Jon, Scott, Kim and Beth; great grandchildren, Jonathan and Christopher; daughter-in-law, Jeanne Karish of Coleraine; sister, Rose Talus of Eveleth; several nieces and nephews She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Louis; son, Louis; grandson, Michael Koski; son-in-law, William Koski; brothers, Frank and John; sister, Frances Ribich.
