Funeral service for Helen Marie Himmelright, 91, of Fayal Township, will be 11am Friday, August 5, 2011 at Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert with Brenda Tibbetts AIM officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Eveleth Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Helen died Monday August 1, 2011 at the Virginia Convalescent Care Center. She was born Aug. 15, 1919 in Becida, MN to John and Josephine (Krez) Hadrava. Helen attended school in Becida and later worked as a cook in a logging camp and for Itasca State Park. She married Kenneth Himmelright on Sept. 5, 1936. they moved to Hutter in 1951 and during that time worked for the Eveleth Cafe and Northern Pines Cafe as a cook for several years. In 1957 they moved to Fayal Township. She and her husband raised chickens and pheasants and enjoyed gardening and canning vegetables. Helen was a festidious housekeeper and a fabulous cook. Sunday's were enjoyed by family with Helen's chicken dinners. Family was first priority to her. Survivors include her son, Keith (Kathy) Himmelright of Fayal Twp.; daughter, Phyllis (Ken) Mausolf of Cottage Grove; brother, Emil Hadrava; sister, Olga White; 11 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren and one expected great great grandchild; sister-in-law, Lois Hadrava; several nieces and nephews She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Kenneth; daughter, Jeanette (Tom) DeYoung; grandson, Richard Nyquist; brothers, Joseph, John, Leon and Frank; sisters, Josephine O'Grady, Mary Johnson, Antoinette Carlson and Emily Guishard.
