Funeral Mass for Theresa Frances Leoni, 53, of Virginia, will be 11am Thursday, August 11, 2011 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Gilbert with Fr. Charles Flynn as celebrant. Visitation will be one hour prior to the mass at church. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Gilbert Cemetery. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert. Theresa died Sunday, August 7, 2011 at Essentia Health in Duluth, MN. She was born Nov. 7, 1957 in Virginia, MN to Frank and Mary (Arena) Leoni. Theresa was a 1976 graduate of Gilbert High School. She attended Mesabi Community College and obtained her certificate as a ward clerk. Theresa enjoyed socializing with friends and staff at Edgewood Vista residence and spending time with her special companion, Mike Hill. Survivors include her mother, Mary Leoni of Gilbert, (Virginia Convalescent Center); siblings, Mary A. Leoni of Minneapolis, Tony Leoni of Las Vegas, Rocco (Kathy) Leoni of Gilbert, John Leoni of Wyoming, MN, David (Myong) Leoni of Las Vegas, Rosie (Dennis) Sandstrom of Gilbert, Mike Leoni on Minneapolis; numerous nieces and nephews and her special companion, Mike Hill also survive. She was preceded in death by her father, Frank and sister, Carmela Rose Johnson.
