Doris D. Kurpius

Funeral service for Doris D. Kurpius, 74, of Hoyt Lakes, will be 11am Friday, September 16, 2011 at Faith Lutheran Church in Hoyt Lakes with Rev. Charles Barnes officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the Hoyt Lakes Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora. Doris died Monday, September 12, 2011 at Northern Pines Medical Center in Aurora, MN. She was born May 25, 1937 in Moorhead, MN to Elton and Lucille (Smith) Yeager. Doris was a graduate of Felton High School and later married Jerome Kurpius on January 18, 1958 in Moorhead, MN. Survivors include her husband, Jerome "Jerry"; son, Craig (Karmen) Kurpius of Red Wing; daughter, Shelley (Craig) Boutain of Monticello; grandsons, Daniel (Jennifer Burns) Boutain and Troy (Charlotte Hibbs) Boutain; siblings, Irvin (Diane) Yeager of Coos Bay, OR, Earl Yeager of Felton and Keith (Connie) Yeager of Coos Bay, OR; brother-in-law, Duane Rafteseth of Hawley; uncles, Dale (Iretta) Smith of Moorhead and Lester Yeager of Ulen; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elton and Lucille; sister, Maxine Rafteseth; brothers, Eugene, LeRoy and Kenneth Yeager.
