Michele Hansen died Saturday September 10, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth. She was born in Duluth September 16, 1942 to Charles and Signe (Saltvick) Morrison. Private services were handled by Ziemer Moeglin Shatava Funeral Home of Aurora, attended by close friends and family. Any donations are preferred to the Susan G. Komen Foundation in honor of Chele Hansen. Chele died peacefully in the St Mary’s hospice facility surrounded by her husband, and both children who loved her very much for all of the lessons, gifts, and memories she provided during all of our years as a family. She fought... and won, a five year battle with cancer. It was in the end that we are confident she chose to leave on her terms... just as she lived her life. Chele’s life was filled with activity: crafts, business adventures, educational accomplishments, personal pursuits, and most importantly friends and family during her time spent traveling and exploring – getting the very most out of her full life. Many people have one place in life they call home... Chele had many people and places throughout her life that claimed her as their own. We are sure she will have an equal or greater impact on her next life and those that await her; as the impact she has made in this world on those of us she will be leaving behind. She is preceded in death by her father, and brother Scott Morrison. Chele is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Jerry; daughter Tiffany (James) Pellegrino, son Cory (Jennifer) Hansen; three grandchildren, Jimmy and Justin Pellegrino, Kingston Hansen; two sisters Patricia (Bruce) Lais, Lynne Morrison; extended family and friends.
