Donna M. White

Funeral service for Donna M. White, 69, of Hoyt Lakes, will be 11am Thursday, December 15, 2011 at First Baptist Church in Aurora with Rev. Karl Helwig officiating. Visitation will be today (Wednesday) from 5-7pm at Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora and continue for one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at a later date in the Hoyt Lakes Memorial Cemetery. Donna died peacefully with loved ones at her side on Sunday, December 11, 2011 at Essentia Health in Aurora. She was born July 19, 1942 in Ulen, MN to Nile and Virgie (Bickel) Lien. She was a graduate of Aurora High School and married Bruce White on August 29, 1959. Together they built their home and raised their family south of Aurora, moving to Hoyt Lakes after retiring. She worked at the Aurora/Hoyt Lakes School for several years and retired from the White Community Hospital. Donna was a member of First Baptist Church. She especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She loved tending to her yard and flower gardens. Donna adored her grand kids and great grandson and spending special times with them. She had a great sense of humor and had compassion for others; Live, Love and Laugh was her life motto. Survivors include her children, Kim (Dave) Karkoska of rural Gilbert, Jim White and Colleen of Palo and Jason (Andrea) White of rural Gilbert; sister, Janice (Lance) Schultz of Hitterdal, MN; brother, Don Lien of Hoyt Lakes; special brother-in-law, Vern Olson of Gilbert; sister-in-law, Darlene (Dale) Anderson of Parker, CO; grandchildren, Katelyn, Cassidy, Jill and Joseph; great grandson, Brody; several nieces and nephews She is preceded in death by her parents, Nile and Virgie; husband, Bruce; sister, Mona; brother, Robert; brother-in-law, Ralph; nephews, Mike Garman and Dean Lundberg.
