MARY O. BOWERS, at the age of 90, our beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother was taken to her heavenly home on December 11, 2011. She firmly believed that Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life. And one day her earthly body will be raised along with all those who believe in Christ, because He is the life from the dead and the resurrection from the grave. She loved the Lord and she loved her Bible, the Word of God. Through the testimony of her words and life, she led several people to Christ. "...Let us run with endurance the race God has set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith..." Hebrews 12: 1-2. Mary was born May 2, 1921, in the state of Kansas. She was spiritually born again some thirty years later, and her eyes were focused on Jesus until the day of her promotion to her heavenly residence. Now with the host of heaven, she looks upon Jesus face to face. We, her family and friends, will miss her tremendously; but we also rejoice ... knowing beyond all doubt that God keeps his promises. And He promised that all whom Christ has redeemed will live forever with Him in heaven. Mary moved to Hoyt Lakes, Mn. with her family in 1959. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Bowers, her fourth child, Kevin Bowers; grandchildren, Jeff and Chad. She is survived by her children, oldest to youngest: Gary Bowers (Mesa, Az), Marge Hutchinson (Houston, Tx), Mike Bowers (Victorville, CA), and Tina (Tim) Christensen (Hoyt Lakes, Mn). Her grandchildren are: Kelly, Kevin, Kori (Tina & Tim's children); Brian, Paula, Tara, Laura (Mike's children); Jon, Ryan (Marge's children); Chris, Cindy, and Zachary (Gary's children). Sixteen great grandchildren will also miss her. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 16, 2011 at 2:00 pm; located at Heritage Trail Bible Church, 5266 Heritage Trail, Gilbert, Minnesota. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Hoyt Lakes Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora.
