Funeral Mass for Joan A. Normandin, 67, of Aurora, will be 1:30pm Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Aurora with Fr. Steven Daigle as celebrant. Visitation will be one hour prior to the mass at church. Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Aurora. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora. Joan died suddenly Saturday, December 17, 2011. Joan was born March 2, 1944 in Crookston, MN to Fred and Mary (Logan) Turk. On March 28, 1966 she married Bernard "Shorty" Normandin. Joan and Bernard lived their entire married lives in Aurora. Joan's pastimes included shooting darts, playing BINGO and especially playing cards with her family. No visit would pass without at least one hand of 500-rummy. Joan was a member of the Aurora American Legion Auxiliary for over 40 years. She worked at Giant Wash in Aurora for over 20 years. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her daughter, Stephanie (Greg) Bergstad; sons, Shawn (Susie) Normandin and Ryan Normandin; grandchildren, Amanda, Avery, Ashley and Angela; brother, Francis; sisters, Rose, Monica, Bonita, Sandy, Jeanne and Linda; many nieces, nephews and other relatives. She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Mary, and husband, Bernard.
