James C. Schubert

Funeral service for James Chris Schubert, 79, of Gilbert, will be 11am Thursday, January 5, 2012 at Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert with Rev. Bradley Felix officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Gilbert Cemetery. Mr. Schubert died Monday, January 2, 2012 at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth. He was born July 16, 1932 in Kerrick, MN to William and Mayme Schubert. On July 29, 1951 he married Dorothea Krouch in Sandstone, MN. Jim worked for US Steel as a line attendant and retired from there with over 40 years of service. Survivors include his wife, Dot; children, Paula (Wade) Parker of Buffalo, Evelyn (Patrick) Johnson of Mound, Sally (Larry) Dagen of Gilbert and Mark (Kathleen) Schubert of Eveleth; grandchildren, Thomas, Brienne, Eric, Ryan, Laurie and Bill; three great grandchildren; brother, John (Sharon) Schubert of Little Falls; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and ten brothers and sisters.
