Funeral service for Nancy A. Saw, 75, of Biwabik, MN, will be 11am Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012 at Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert, MN with Pastor Dan Ronn officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at a later date in the Lakeview Cemetery in Coleraine, MN. Nancy died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012 at Boundary Waters Care Center in Ely, MN. She was born April 18, 1936 in Minneapolis to Henry and Hallie Carlson. Nancy was a 1954 graduate of Washburn High School in Mpls. On March 9, 1957 she married Gerald Saw in Mpls. Nancy was a homemaker and a seamstress at the Cluett Peabody Shirt Factory in Gilbert. In her earlier years, she enjoyed sewing with high school friends. Survivors include her son, John (Shari) Saw of Ely; grandson, William "Billy" (Brittney Schaar) Saw of Grand Rapids, MN; brother, Ronald (Mary) Carlson of Mpls; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gerald and best friend, Rosie Olson of Gilbert.
