Harriet Kathryn Braun

Funeral Mass for Harriet K. Braun, 94, of Hibbing, will be 11am Friday, March 9, 2012 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Hibbing with Fr. David Forsman as celebrant. Visitation will be one hour prior to the mass at church. Burial will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert, MN. Harriet passed away peacefully surrounded by all her children on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 in her home. She was born Harriet Kathryn Martin on January 27, 1918 in Davis, South Dakota, daughter of Earl & Mabel Martin. Harriet started out her young life as a librarian until marrying Raymond J. Braun August 27, 1940. She was a dedicated wife and mother. God and her family were a priority in her life. Harriet was the organist in various churches and devoted her talent generously to her church community for over 75 years. She will be greatly missed by her family, being the core member of all family activity. She is survived by her children, Kathryn (Dennis) Forsman, Proctor; Mary J. Gensler, Hibbing; Jeffrey (June) Braun, Pengilly; Joseph (Kathleen) Braun, Bemidji; Marilyn (Kelly) Barcus, Hibbing. Harriet has 16 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; special friend, Fr. Clem Gustin. She was Preceded in death by her husband Ray, Son Raymond Jr., and granddaughter Molly Johanna Braun.
