Phyllis M. Gregorich

A graveside service for Phyllis Mae Gregorich, 85, of Virginia, will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert. Phyllis died Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at St. Raphael's Health and Rehab Center in Eveleth. She was born April 22, 1926 in Virginia, MN to Walter and Martha O'Brien. She married Edmund Melton on Nov. 15, 1947 in Moline, Illinois. Phyllis worked as a telephone operator for many years in various cities. Later, following Edmund's death, she married Joseph Gregorich. Phyllis enjoyed time spent at Fortune Bay and was known as the "Queen of BINGO." Survivors include her children, Dawn (John) Gregorich, Diane (Russell) Laugen, Nancy (Dan) Lamppa, Vicki (Mark) Shereck, Kim Sullivan, Joseph Gregorich and Michael Gregorich; 20 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edmund; daughter, Debra Westby; granddaughter, Amber Spoke; sister, Jean Ceglar.
