Memorial service for Jane Ellen Williams, 88, of Aurora, will be 1pm Friday, March 23, 2012 at Faith Lutheran Church in Hoyt Lakes with Rev. Charles Barnes officiating. Jane went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 16, 2012 surrounded by her loving family at Willow Wood Memory Care Facility in Eveleth, MN. Jane was the last of seven children born to Fred and Anna Fankhauser on July 5, 1923. She was raised and spent her early years in Rice Lake, Wisconsin. Jane was united in marriage to Arvid C. Williams on April 19, 1944. Following their marriage, they resided and raised their children in Aurora. Jane worked in the defense plant in Detroit during World War II. She also worked for the Aurora/Hoyt Lakes Schools and the White Community Hospital as a cook. Jane also worked for a short time at Pamida. Jane was a member of the former Aurora VFW Post Auxiliary and the Aurora Senior Citizens where she held various offices. Her volunteer work included being a Girl and Boy Scout Mother and providing coffee and cookies to the 55 Alive classes and in turn, donating all proceeds to the Rainbows program. She was a former member of the Laurentian Craft Club and had a passion for making Raggedy Ann and Andy Dolls - selling over 500 sets to people all over the United States. Jane also enjoyed sewing, baking, working crossword puzzles, knitting and crocheting. Survivors include her three children, Carole (Tom) Moyer of Aurora and their children, Chris Boese and son, Jacob John, Greg (Jen) Boese and their children, Cody and Dean John, Marlene (Ray) Dennis of St. Cloud and their children, Jannell (Glen) Boeckermann and their children, Holly and Cassidy, Amanda (Lawrence) Due and their daughter, Nina, Chuck (Sharon) Williams of Aurora and their children, Lindsay (Hans) Nyberg and their son, Caleb and Mitchell Williams; several nieces and nephews also survive. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Arvid, sons-in-law, Larry Paavola and John Boese, six siblings. Jane's family wishes to extend a special thank you for the excellent care and support of their mother to the Willow Wood Memory Care Facility.
