Funeral service for Pearl (Gooden)Miles, 91, of Virginia, formerly of Aurora, will be 11am Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert with Brenda Tibbetts, AIM officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Eveleth Cemetery. Pearl died Sunday, April 8, 2012 at St. Michaels Health and Rehab Center in Virginia. She was born Oct. 4, 1920 in Saskatchewan, Canada to Thomas and Allie Bolander. She came to the United States as a child and late married William Gooden. Pearl worked for the Cluett Peabody Shirt Factory in Eveleth and was a private care giver for a local family for several years. In 1970 she married Harold Miles. Pearl was a homemaker, an avid gardener and enjoyed fishing. Survivors include her children, Dennis (JoAnn) Gooden of Virginia, David (Sue) Gooden of Mt. Iron, Joyce Ritacco of Hoyt Lakes, Dan (Mary) Gooden of Aurora and Bonnie Wendland of Virginia; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, William; second husband, Harold; three children, Gloria, Diane and Don; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
