Funeral Mass for Delores Esther Marie Thuringer, 84, of Hoyt Lakes, will be 11am Monday, May 7, 2012 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Hoyt Lakes with Fr. Steven Daigle as celebrant. Visitation will be Sunday from 3-5pm with recitation of the rosary at 4:30pm at the church. Visitation will also continue on Monday for one hour prior to the mass. Burial will be in the Hoyt Lakes Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora, MN. Delores died Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at Essentia Health in Duluth, MN. She was born March 18, 1928 in Eden, SD to Adolph and Rose (Strier) Schuster. Following her schooling, she married Robert Thuringer on Sept. 14, 1948 in Eden, SD. In 1958 they moved to Hoyt Lakes and began raising their family. Delores was a dedicated homemaker and worked at Mesaba Drug in Hoyt Lakes as a clerk for many years. She was an active member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church, its Council of Catholic Women, the Assumption Group and its Quilting Group. Survivors include her children, Neal (Janelle) of Hoyt Lakes, Keith (Michelle) of Palo, Bob (Bobbi) of Aurora, Wayne (Jayme) of Hoyt Lakes, James of Duluth, Karen (Al) McNulty of Hoyt Lakes, Diane (Robert) Lesnau of Hoyt Lakes, Rose (Kim) LaCount of Hoyt Lakes and Linda (Curtis) Holmes of Biwabik; 14 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; sister, Virginia (Marlon) Pearson of California; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; and a brother, Darrell.
