Memorial Mass for Ann Rose Modetz, 88, of Aurora, will be 10:00 a.m Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Aurora with Fr. Steven Daigle as celebrant. Visitation will be one hour prior to mass at church. Interment will take place in the Forest Hill Cemetery Columbarium in Aurora. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Northern Pines Medical Center Nursing Home Foundation. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora. Ann passed away peacefully Friday, May 18, 2012 at Northern Pines Medical Center in Aurora. She was born September 30, 1923 in Aurora and grew up in Meadow Location. She graduated from Aurora High School in 1943. In addition to working in Nebraska supporting the war effort, she worked at Lake Mine and later for the City of Aurora. Ann married Vince Method. They were blessed with two children, John and Nancy. Ann enjoyed her gardens and loved to bake, quilt and crochet. She enjoyed trips back to her parent's homeland in Croatia after retirement. In 1968 Ann married Ed Modetz. She spent the last three years of her life at Northern Pines Medical Center Nursing Home in Aurora. Ann is survived by her husband, Ed; son, John Method of Minneapolis; daughter, Nancy Wolfe of Duluth; brother, Anthony Perpich of Virginia; extended family, Betty Kultzow, Kristine Kultzow and Suzanne Hosticka. She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, John, Steve and Mark.
