Marvin K. Giese

Memorial service for Marvin Kenneth Giese, 69, of Gilbert, will be 11am Friday, June 1, 2012 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Virginia with Rev. Robert Simensen officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert. Marvin died Monday, May 28, 2012 at the Virginia Convalescent Care Center. He was born September 17, 1942 in Sandstone, MN to Albert and Evelyn Giese. Following his schooling, he married Teddy Ann Nesseth. Marvin worked as a linerman for LTV Steel, retiring with 36 years of service. Marvin enjoyed coaching youth hockey in Gilbert from 1975-1985, deer hunting and fishing. He especially enjoyed time spent with family, grandchildren, and fishing at Pleasant Lake with Jerry. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Teddy Ann; children, Kori (Sharon) Giese of Fishers, Ind., Lisa (Lowell) Severson of Goodrich, Mich., and Lonny (Kate) Giese of Gilbert; grandchildren, Lindsey, Lowell Jr., Margo and Jack; great granddaughter, Brooklyn; brother, Robert (Bonnie) Giese of Milaca and his dog, Riley. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Donald and his dog, Zachary.
