Funeral service for Lillian E. Blauert, 91, of Aurora, will be 10:30am Thursday, June 28, 2012 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Aurora with Reverend Donald Stauty officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Aurora. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora. Lillian died Sunday, June 24, 2012 at Northern Pines Medical Center in Aurora. She was born Sept. 30, 1920 in Palo, MN to Ernest and Hilma (Finnila) Kleimo. She was a 1938 graduate of Aurora High School and later attended and graduated from Duluth Teachers College and Suomi College in Hancock, Mich. On June 7, 1941 she married Henry J. Blauert in Aurora. Lillian taught elementary school for many years in Becker and St. Louis County Schools. She also worked as a secretary for the clerk at the Town of White for many years. Lillian was a Charter member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and its womens guild. She was also a member of the Aurora American Legion Auxiliary and was an avid dance club participant. Survivors include her children: Thomas (Margy) Blauert of Cloquet, Barb (Tony) Plattner of Aurora and Carla (Darrel) Starken of Hoyt Lakes; grandchildren: Jean, Darren, Jodi, Kevin, Jennifer and Christopher; great grandchildren: Dustin, Kaylie, Stevan, Audrey and Henry; sisters: Ethel Talbott of Two Harbors and Florence Hill of Aurora; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry; son, Donald and three brothers.
