Betty M. Peterson

Funeral service for Betty M. Peterson, 80, will be 10:30am Friday, July 6, 2012 at Faith Assembly of God Church, 5007 Hwy 110 in Aurora with Rev. Derrick DeTurk officiating. The family will greet friends at 9:30 until the time of service. Interment will be in the Rauha Cemetery in Palo. Cards and memorials may be sent to the family at 5324 South Ave., Aurora, MN 55705. Betty was born and raised in Albert Lea and a long time resident of Aurora, died peacefully at her home in Forest Lake on Sunday, July 1, 2012. Betty was an elementary school teacher in the Aurora public schools and several local Christian schools; she especially loved teaching kindergarten and first grade. A life long passion for handiwork lead to crocheting baby blankets for charity in her latter years. She is survived by her four children, Joanne, Ronald, Linnea and Anders (Amber); ten grandchildren; brother, Howard; daughter-in-law, Sarah and special friend, Ted Rupert. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger; parents, Henry and Johanna Peterson; twin sisters at birth, Rose and Ramona.
