Diane J. Nelson

Funeral service for Diane Jane Nelson, 54, of Fayal Township, will be 10am Monday, September 17, 2012 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Gilbert with Fr. Charles Flynn officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 5-7pm at Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert and will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Burial will be in the Gilbert Cemetery. Diane died Friday, September 14, 2012 at her residence in Fayal Township surrounded by family. She was born January 19, 1958 in Duluth, MN to Donald and Jane (Lemieux) Miller. Diane was a graduate of Proctor High School and of Hibbing Technical College electrical program. Diane began working for MinTac. She later transferred to Inland Steel where she worked as an electrician until health complications forced her to quit working. Diane married Richard Nelson on July 8, 1994. Diane especially enjoyed time spent with her family and attending the grandchildren's hockey games. She was a devout Elvis fan and enjoyed her time spent at the casino and times spent with her weiner dogs, Priscilla and Presley. She will especially miss keeping "her boys" in line at Inland Steel. Survivors include her husband, Richard of Fayal Twp.; daughters, Jamie (Tom Stafford) Freeman-Barry of Savage, MN and Jessica (Keith) Gunderson of Bloomer, WI; step-son, Richard (Rhonda) Nelson of Gilbert; grandchildren, Jesse (Kayla Bonicatto) Schilling, Heather Schilling, Cassidy Mancina, Bryant Nelson and Kristy (Walt) Skahl; great grandchild, Kaylee Johnson; sisters, Linda Lonetto of Duluth and Theresa (Chris) Mellinger of Proctor; brothers, Roy Miller of Osceola, WI and Donald Miller of Mille Lacs, MN; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Jane; brothers, Randy and Ray Miller.
