Luke Ribich

Visitation for Luke J. Ribich, 84, of Duluth, will be 5-7pm Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert. Graveside service with military honors accorded by the Gilbert VFW Post will be 10am Friday, January 18, 2013 in the Lakeside Cemetery in Biwabik. Fr. Frank Perkovich will officiate. Luke died Monday, January 14, 2013 at Essentia Health in Duluth, MN. He was born March 30, 1928 in Biwabik, MN to Luke A. and Frances (Anzelc) Ribich. Luke attended Biwabik High School and later enlisted with the US Army serving in Korea. On September 27, 1958 he married Betty Judd. Luke owned and operated several businesses on the Iron Range. For several years he worked for and retired from Kolar Chev and Buick in Duluth. Survivors include his wife, Betty; brothers, Edward (Pat) Ribich of Sauk Rapids, Robert (Rosemary) Ribich of Bass Lake and Richard (Janet) Ribich of Santa Fe, NM; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents.
