Florence I. Long, 67, of Aurora Memorial Services to be held 11 AM Saturday at the Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora with Pastor Brendan Johnston officiating. Visitation one hour prior to the service. Inurnment to be held at a later date. Florence I. Long, 67, of Aurora passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Essentia Health in Aurora. Florence Long was born on March 25, 1945 in Appleton, MN to Walter and Lydia (Mellon) Skillman. She grew up and attended school in Appleton, MN. Florence enjoyed gardening, taking day trips to the casino, and spending time with her friends and family. One of her favorite pastimes was fishing with her grandson, Colt, at their special spot they called the "Dirty Water" on Whitewater Lake in Hoyt Lakes. She enjoyed spending time with all her grandchildren watching them learn and grow. She was united in marriage to John Long on October 13, 1980 in Las Vegas, NV. Florence and John enjoyed taking road trips around the country side and visiting family in Nebraska. Survivors include: Husband : John Long of Aurora Daughters: Dawn (Roger) Randall of Coon Rapids, MN Cassie Long of Aurora, MN Sons: Brad Crocker of Morrowville, KS Calvin Crocker of Oklahoma City, OK Grandchildren: Nathanial Randall, April (Blake) Hendrickson, Crystal Crocker, Colt Long, Bella Comstock, Gabe Crocker, Two sisters: Kathy (Richard) Breum of Sioux Falls, SD Mary (Don) Anderson of Ortonville, MN One brother: Martin (Janice) Skillman of Worthing, SD Numerous nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her parents.
