Memorial service for Clair W. Logan, 84, of Palo, will be 10am Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora. Friends may greet the family one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Rauha Cemetery in White Township, MN. Clair died Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at St. Raphael's Health and Rehab in Eveleth, MN. He was born December 28, 1928 in Ortonville, MN to Thomas and Rose (Hurley) Logan. Clair served with the US Army during the Korean Conflict. On July 17, 1951 he married Marie Carreiere in Crookston, MN. In the mid 1950's they moved to the Iron Range where Clair worked as a cat skinner at Erie Mining Company and enjoyed time spent on the hobby farm in Palo. Clair was a member of the Aurora American Legion Post 241, the Timothy Robinson VFW Post of Hoyt Lakes and SOAR. He was also a Palo First Responder and Fire Department member, a St. Louis County Volunteer Driver and Laskiainen Committee member. Survivors include his children: Clair T. (Linda) Logan of Becker, Robert (Nikki) Logan of Makinen, Jerome (Roberta) Logan of Eveleth and Joan (Michael) Hakala of Cloquet; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marie; son, Edward; brothers and sisters.
