Funeral Mass for Marjorie May Belland, 85, of Hoyt Lakes, will be 10am Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Hoyt Lakes with Fr. Steven Daigle as celebrant. Visitation will be today from 5-7pm at Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora and will continue for one hour prior to mass at the church. Burial will be in the Hoyt Lakes Memorial Cemetery. Marjorie died Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Essentia Health - Northern Pines Medical Center in Aurora. She was born to the late Edward and Jessie Schmoll on May 27, 1927 in Waubun, MN. Marjorie attended school at Waubun, MN and married the late William Belland in 1948. They lived in Waubun for eight years before relocating to Babbitt in 1956 and in Hoyt Lakes in 1960. Marjorie worked several jobs in the Hoyt Lakes area, but is probably best known for her years of managing the Hoyt Lakes Golf Course Club House and Restaurants. She was an active member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church and enjoyed participating in volleyball and bowling leagues, but her first love was dancing. Survivors include her son, Steven; brothers, James and Robert; sister, Laverne Stoelberger; four grandchildren, Travis (Kris), Ryan and Amy Belland and Amber Martin; seven great grandchildren, Emily, Jill, Kadin, Brandt, Brady, Ava and Seth; daughter-in-law, Roberta Belland. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, William; sons, Michael and Mark; brother, Don; sisters, Patsy Stoelberger and Doris Antonsen.
