Graveside services for Mary J. Kern, 82, of Gilbert, will be at 10:30 AM on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at the Gilbert Cemetery. Fr. Frank Perkovich will be officiating. Following the graveside service, a luncheon will take place at the Gilbert VFW Post. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moelgein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert. Mary Josephine Kern, 82, of Gilbert died Saturday, April 6, 2013 at St. Michael's Health and Rehabilitation Center in Virginia. Mary was born on November 25, 1930 to Anton and Mary (Zelle) Kralich in Elcor Location, MN. She was united in marriage to Robert J. Kern on July 3, 1948 in Gilbert. The couple made their home in Gilbert, where they raised five children. Survivors include her children: Roberta Kern-Abson of St. Cloud, MN, Robert (Barb) Kern of Coleraine, MN, Mary (Jan) Hart of Palisade, MN and Mike (Tina) Kern of Gilbert, MN; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; son-in-law: Jim Lautigar of Gilbert, MN She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; daughter, Nancy Lautigar; and four brothers.
