Funeral Mass for Louise Julie Sandstrom, 72, of rural Gilbert, will be 11am Monday, April 22, 2013 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Gilbert with Fr. Charles Flynn and Fr. Frank Perkovich con-celebrating the Mass. Visitation will be one hour prior to the mass at church. Burial will be in the Gilbert Cemetery. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert. Louise died Friday, April 19, 2013 at Essentia Health - Virginia. Louise was born July 26, 1940 in Gilbert, MN to John and Eleanor (Erickson) Botta. She was a graduate of Gilbert High School and later attended Virginia Jr. College for one year. On October 31, 1959 she married Clyde Mattson in Gilbert. Louise was a homemaker and enjoyed working at Olde Country Floral for many years. Several years following Clyde's death, she married David Sandstrom on February 5, 2003 in Gilbert. Louise was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church where she taught catechism and was a member of the choir. She was a Girl Scout leader and enjoyed spending time in the outdoors and at the lake. Survivors include her husband, David; daughters: Rosalyn (Scott) Engelstad of Gilbert and her family, Jeremy (Jen) Gulbranson and their children, Brady and Dylan Louise, Tracy (Mike) Hutchison of Plainview, MN and her daughter, Paige Gulbranson; brother, John (Holly) Botta of Gilbert; step-son, Kirk (Robin) Sandstrom of Great Falls, MT and their daughter, Sara; brother-in-law, Vern Olson of Gilbert; sister-in-law, Lorraine Jorgensen of Duluth; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Clyde; grandson, Justin Gulbranson; sister, Rose Marie Olson; brother, William Botta.
