Josephine C. Mesojedec

Funeral Mass for Josephine C. Mesojedec, 86, of McKinley, will be 10am Thursday, June 20, 2013 at St. John's Catholic Church in Biwabik with Fr. Steve Daigle as celebrant. Visitation will be Wednesday (today) from 5-7pm at Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert with recitation of the rosary at 6:45pm. Visitation will also be one hour prior to the mass at church. Burial will be in the Lakeside Cemetery in Biwabik. Josephine died unexpectedly, but peacefully in her sleep on Monday, June 17, 2013 at her daughter's home in Brooklyn Park, MN. She was born April 13, 1927 in McKinley, MN to John and Jennie (Snidarich) Germ. On February 7, 1948 she married Frank "Sam" Mesojedec. Josie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Family was of utmost importance and she always enjoyed time spent with them. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and its Assumption Group, the Gilbert VFW Auxiliary, the Gilbert Senior Citizens and the SNPJ Lodge. Survivors include her daughters: Judy (Tom) Goche of Bancroft, IA, Peggy Burba of Gilbert, Kathy (Paul) Plesha of Gilbert and Debbie (Doug Bistodeau) Schmitt of Brooklyn Park; 10 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; brother-in-law: Andy Licari of Biwabik; sister-in-law: Vida Marinsek of Aurora; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Frank "Sam"; siblings: John, Bernard, Tony, Jennie and Rose; son-in-law: Maynard Burba; two grandchildren in infancy.
