Memorial Mass for Michael Ross Gentile, 64, of Gilbert will be held at 11 AM Friday, July 5, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Gilbert with Fr. Charles Flynn Celebrant. Visitation will be one hour prior to Mass at the church. Arrangements are by the Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert. Memorials to Virginia Hospice are preferred in lieu of flowers. Michael Ross Gentile died Monday, July 1, 2013 at Essentia Health Virginia Convalescent Center in Virginia. He was born on June 2, 1949 to Ross and Dorothy (Michelson) Gentile in Biwabik, MN. Michael graduated from the Gilbert High School and then attended Eveleth Junior College. He graduated from Bemidji College. Michael was employed by the IRRRB for thirty years, retiring in 2006. Michael was instrumental in getting Giants Ridge running. His biggest accomplishment was the building of the Legend and the Quarry Golf Courses of which he was extremely proud. Michael served on the Gilbert School Board and was a volunteer fireman, and served on the Police Commission. Michael was united in marriage to Sylvia Mae West Debeltz on February 21, 1987. Survivors include: Wife: Sylvia of Gilbert Five children he was very proud of: Debbie (Greg) Stroemple; Lori (Charlie) Erjavec; Mark Debeltz; Todd (Jody) Debeltz and Brian (Tara) Debeltz 14 grandchildren: Molly Stroemple; Matt (Katie Beth) Hiti; Joseph Hiti; Sara Hiti; Shawna Debeltz; Zack Debeltz; Tyler Debeltz; Nicole Debeltz; Ivy Debeltz; twins Brody and Brylee Debeltz; One great-granddaughter born one month ago, Adelyn Ray Hiti. Stephene and Adam Erjavec; Greg Stroemple, Jr and his son, Adam. His mother, Dorothy Gentile; a brother, Pat Gentile; sister, Lou Ann; numerous nieces and nephews including Kevin and Ross (Hannah).
