Geraldine Burkie Mattson

A private graveside service will be held for Geraldine B. Mattson, 84, of Aurora at the Forest Hill Cemetery in Aurora . Geraldine died Monday, July 01, 2013 at Essentia Health Northern Pines in Aurora. Gerry was born May 10, 1929 in Detroit, MI, the daughter of Helen (Johnson) Schoonover. On January 29, 1949, Gerry was united in marriage to Frederick J. Mattson in Virginia, MN. She was a homemaker and worked at the White Community Hospital from which she retired. She will always be remembered as hard working, and being very generous, loving, and faithful. She was an avid bible reader. Survivors include daughter, Jacquelyn Navedo of Virginia; son, Randy Mattson of Aurora; granddaughter, Melanie Smith of San Diego, CA; numerous other relatives and friends as well as two loving dogs, Buster and Casper. She was preceded in death by her mother; her husband, Frederick; and a son, Ronald Mattson. Proverbs 31:31 Give her of the fruit of her hands and let her own works praise her in the gates.
