Frances Gentile

Funeral Mass for Frances Ann Gentile, 91, of Gilbert, will be 11am Thursday, July 18, 2013 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Gilbert with Fr. Charles Flynn as celebrant. Visitation will be one hour prior to the mass at church. Burial will be in the Gilbert Cemetery. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert. Frances died Friday, July 12, 2013 at St. Raphael's Health and Rehab in Eveleth, MN. Frances was born September 13, 1921 in Eveleth, MN to Matthew and Agnes (Verbuss) Novakovich. She attended school in Eveleth and Married Orlando Gentile on July 31, 1941. Frances was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother and homemaker. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the Croatian Fraternal Union. She enjoyed shopping, drawing, playing BINGO, watching the Minnesota Twins and listening to music, especially by "The Circle of Friends." For the past 13 years she was a resident of St. Raphael's where she enjoyed the staff and considered it home. Survivors include her children: Darlene (Tom) Turja of Virginia, John (Claire) Gentile of Eagle River, Alaska and Louis (Janice) Gentile of Gilbert; grandchildren: Paul (Roz) Turja of Eveleth, Curt (Janel Land) Gentile of Albertville, Bryan (Taryn Pream) Gentile of Sartell, John (Jennifer) Gentile of Negaunee, Mich and Jeffrey Gentile; great grandchildren: Tyler and Braedan Gentile; sister-in-law: Dorothy Gentile of Gilbert; numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Orlando; grandson, Thomas Turja Jr.; sisters: Stephanie, Helen and Ann; brothers: John, Nick, Steve and Tony.
