Funeral service for Elaine M. Scipioni, 83, of Aurora, will be 11am Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Aurora with Pastor Barbara Hegfors officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Aurora, MN. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora. Elaine peacefully passed away Monday July 22, 2013 at the Scott and White Hospital in Round Rock Texas where she was staying with her daughter Sandy and son Mark. She was born to Paul and Rose Graff on June 7, 1930. She married John Scipioni on June 4, 1948 in Hibbing Minnesota. Together they had 3 children and numerous dogs. Elaine was first and foremost a loving wife and mother. She held jobs at the shirt factory in Eveleth, Mary Ann's Supper Club and the American Legion in Aurora, and also worked in Virginia at the mall. She was extremely gifted in her artistic endevours and owned and ran multiple ceramic shops with her husband John and her brother in law Joey. She was recognized locally for her sewing, crafting, crocheting, cooking and baking. Her talent was written up in articles for the local papers. She also enjoyed the outdoors and in her younger years spent many weekends in the boundry waters canoeing, camping and fishing until her and John purchased a cabin on Eagles Nest Lake for their family. Her greatest love was spending time with family, friends and entertaining. She will be remembered for her unconditional love and happy heart. Christmas was her favorite day of the year and enjoyed the entire season. Elaine is survived by her children: Michael (Linda) of Lake Vermilion, Mark (Anette Hall) of Austin, TX and Sandy Scipioni Krahn of Round Rock, TX; grandchildren: Michael (Ashley Alto) Scipioni of Virginia, Jill Scipioni of Virginia, Paul (Holly Salazar) Scipioni of SanMarcos, TX and Rose Scipioni of Cherry Point,North Carolina; brother, Benny Graff of Bismark, ND; niece, Heidi Hollowell and family; nephew, Jason Graff and family; long time companion, Paul Arnson of Aurora and her canine companion, Floppy. She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Rose Graff and her husband, John.
