Frances J. Steh

A visitation for Frances Jean Steh, 97, of Gilbert will be held from 6-8 pm Thursday, July 25, 2013 at the Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Frances died Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at the Essentia Health Convalescent Center in Virginia, Frances was born on May 26, 1916 to Steve and Frances (Rozena) Praznik in Gilbert. On September 10, 1945 Frances was united in marriage to Edward Steh in Hibbing. She was a homemaker and also worked as a housekeeper. She provided private family childcare for several years. Frances enjoyed knitting, gardening, and berry picking. Survivors include her niece, Elizabeth (Harry) Kuitunen of Biwabik; two nephews, Bernard (Susan) Samson and Ludwig P. Samson, both of Gilbert, and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Steve and Frances; her husband, Edward Steh; two sisters, Helen Skerjance and Christine Samson; a brother, Frank Praznik; and two nieces. Frances' family would like to thank the staff of Essentia Convalescent Center for the wonderful care Frances received throughout the years.
