Frances Marolt died Thursday, August 1, 2013 at her home. She was born in Springfield, Massachusetts to Joseph and Mary Frances (Zucco) Montagna on April 14, 1932, the oldest of three girls. Frances graduated from Classical High School in 1949. She went on to graduate from the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul in 1953. Frances taught physical education and science in the Gilbert School System until 1957. She married Tony Marolt, a lifelong resident of Gilbert in 1956. They made their home in Gilbert and raised seven children. Fran wore many hats but wanted to be remembered as a mother. Her children were her life. They were all a distance from her but "very close". She considered them her missionaries in God's vineyard, blooming where planted - using their talents to help others. She made them aware of how proud she was of them. Frances leaves behind seven children, Anthony (Julia) Marolt, Jr. of Kansas City, MO; Louise (Dave) Pashkevich of Mandeville, LA; Marie (Paul) Rossez of Circle Pines, MN; Catherine (Phil) Stumpf of Glenwood, MN; Michael (Priscilla) Marolt of White Bear, MN; Steven (Cheryl) Marolt of Silver Bay, MN; and Frank (Karen) Marolt of Byron, MN, Twenty-two grandchildren: Jackie, Christopher, Katrina, Dakota, Morgan, Harley, Marie, Katherine, Michael David, Patrick, Megan, Collin, Shawn, Michael Anthony, Nicholas, Giovanni, Corrina, Isaac, Samuel, Jessica, Benjamin, and Ashley. Two great-grandchildren, Carson and Madelyn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony; and her parents, Mary and Joseph.
