Phillip L. "Tim" LaBerge, 80, of Hoyt Lakes died suddenly Friday, September 6, 2013 at Northern Pines Medical Center in Aurora. At his request, there will be no formal services. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora. Phillip was born April 14, 1933 in Ladysmith, WI to Arthur and Louise (Wegner) LaBerge. Following his schooling, he farmed in the Ladysmith area. In 1957 he began working for Erie Mining Company until 1959. On June 14, 1961 he married Delores Johnson and they moved to the twin cities. They returned to Babbitt where he worked for Reserve Mining Company for 17 years. In 2002 Phillip and Delores permanently retired to Hoyt Lakes. He especially enjoyed flying model air planes in the 1970's and 1980's with friends in Babbitt. Survivors include his wife, Delores; daughter, Danielle LaBerge of Minneapolis; son, Tony LaBerge of Leesburg, FL; siblings: Catherine, Gene, Phyllis (his twin) and Mary Ann; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings.
