Mary Lou Jacobson

Marie Louise (Mary Lou) Jacobson, age 72, of Eveleth, Minnesota, formerly of Gilbert, Minnesota, died Tuesday, September 24, 2013, at St. Raphael's Health and Rehabilitation Center, Eveleth, Minnesota. Mary Lou was born on November 30, 1940, in Eveleth, Minnesota to Louis J and Frances A Indihar. Mary Lou resided in Gilbert, Minnesota and graduated from Gilbert High School in 1958, and attended college at Mesabi Community College, Virginia, Minnesota. Mary Lou was united in marriage to Gary Kenneth Jacobson on October 24, 1959, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Gilbert, Minnesota. The couple resided in Gilbert, Minnesota, where they raised their family. Mary Lou was a joyful person who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, Frances A Indihar (1941) and Louis J Indihar (1985). Mary Lou is survived by her husband of 52 years, Gary Kenneth Jacobson of Eveleth, Minnesota (formerly of Gilbert, Minnesota); her three children: Scott (Patty) Jacobson of Gilbert, Minnesota; Kris (Cliff) Smith of Kenai, Alaska; and Amy (Mark) Sorenson of Grand Rapids, Minnesota; seven grandchildren, Christa Dormanen, Kenny Jacobson, Paul (Jennifer) Jacobson, Shannon (Dan) Mackey, Lauren Schams, Alyssa Sorenson, and Nicole Sorenson; and two great grandchildren, Kyra Dormanen and Conner Dormanen. Visitation will be on Sunday, September 29th at 4:00-6:00pm at Ziemer Moeglein Shatava Funeral Home, Gilbert, Minnesota. Visitation will be on Monday, September 30th at 10:00 am until the 11:00 am Mass of the Resurrection at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Gilbert, Minnesota. Fr. Charles P. Flynn will officiate. Burial will be in Gilbert Cemetery, Gilbert, Minnesota
