Funeral service for Marjorie Mae Christiansen, 75, of Hibbing, formerly of Aurora, will be 10:30am Monday, October 14, 2013 at Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora with Pastor Barbara Hegfors officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Aurora. Marjorie died Monday, September 30, 2013 at Hillcrest Assisted Living in Hibbing, MN. She was born May 5, 1938 in Wakefield, Michigan to Stephen and Rose (Milakovich) Galinatz. Marge was a graduate of Wakefield High School and later moved to Minnesota. On October 1, 1960 she married Charles "Chris" Christiansen. Marge worked as a waitress at the Aurora Moose Lodge and as an Avon sales representative for many years. She especially enjoyed conversing and visiting with her customers. Marge was a member of the Aurora Planning and Zoning Committee, the Fourth of July Committee and Gamblers Anonymous. She was an active member of the Women of the Moose where she obtained her College of Regents Degree. Survivors include her son, Richard Christiansen; sisters: Elizabeth (Fred) Granger of Indiana and Kathryn (Larry) Koski of Iron; grandson, Ryan (Val) Christiansen of Duluth; nieces and nephew: Karen (Eric) Leif of Grand Haven, Michigan, David Jacobson of Indianapolis, Indiana, Stephanie (Nick Stern) Koski of Iron, MN and Jennifer (Joel) Ruuska of Cook, MN. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Chris; sister, Rosemarie (Roger) Sailer and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
