Funeral Mass for Anthony R. "Tony" Turk, 74, of Virginia, formerly of Aurora, will be 10am Wednesday October 16, 2013 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Aurora with Fr. Steven Daigle as celebrant. Visitation will be one hour prior to the mass at church. Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Aurora. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora. Memorials may be directed to the Minnesota Deer Hunters Assoc. in Grand Rapids, MN. Tony died Saturday, October 12, 2013 at his residence in Virginia. Anthony was born June 19, 1939 in Biwabik, MN to John and Aurora (Talbott) Turk. Tony was a 1957 graduate of Aurora High School. He worked for Larson Chevrolet and at Hank's Bar, both in Aurora prior to working for Erie Mining Company. He retired from LTV Steel in 1994 as a blacksmith. Tony was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing and had a passion for woodworking. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and the Steelworkers Union #4108. Tony served as Vice President to the Minnesota Deer Hunters Assoc., was a member of Ducks Unlimited and the Ruffed Grouse Society. Survivors include his brothers: Joseph (Mary Lou) Turk of Colorado and Don (Peg) Turk of Hoyt Lakes; three nephews: Brad, Brian and Scott; one niece, Sharon; special friends, Tim and Ginger Hudacek of Hoyt Lakes. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Aurora Turk.
