Clara E. Jacobson

Funeral service for Clara Elizabeth Jacobson, 98, of New Hope, formerly of Aurora, will be 10:30am Monday, November 18, 2013 at United Methodist Church in Aurora with Pastor Barbara Hegfors officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Aurora. Memorials may be directed to the MS Society. Arrangements are by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora. Clara died Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at Ambassador (Good Samaratin) Home in New Hope, MN. Clara was born November 7, 1915 in Aurora, MN to Carl and Clara (Johnson) Erikson. Following her graduation from Aurora High School, she attended Virginia Jr. College in the secretarial program. In 1949 she married Hjalmer Jacobson. Clara worked as a secretary at the State Bank of Aurora for many years. She was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Aurora and the Eastern Star. Survivors include her step-daughter, Clare Carlson, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hjalmer; daughter, Lornice Gow; son, David Erikson; sister, Anna Sims; brothers: Lester and Carl Erikson.
