Clara C. Perpich, age 82, of Virginia, formerly from Aurora, died Dec. 5, 2013 in Mankato, MN. She was born on September 11, 1931 in Aurora to Frank and Katherine (Hanegman) Cazin. She graduated from AHL in 1949, and soon after married Steve Perpich. Clara was a hard worker and enjoyed working with the public. She started her coffee shop and made a success of it; later sold it and started her beauty shop. In 1976 she started working for the MN Department of Public Safety and retired in 1998 after a stroke. She enjoyed her grandkids and great grandkids, traveling, music, reading, gaming, Bingo, cards, etc. She enjoyed her life living at the Laurentian Manor, with nice friendly people. She was preceded in death by Steve in 2005 and daughter Mary in December, 2006. Surviving are Patricia and Ronald Ledin; great grandchildren Kendall, Ashlynn, Kane and Morgan and Ryan Ledin, Kari Ledin Kinney, Karen and Jim Hull and grand children Bryan, Jenna and Kevin. Brother-in-law Tony Perpich, Many nieces and nephews also. Her sister Mary Baumgartener was her favorite sister and traveling companion. Other survivors are Frances Schroeder of Ohio, Phyllis Johnson of Washington, brothers Joe and Carl of Mpls. Family members deceased are Frank Cazin, Kay Malley, and Ann Wolanin of Cleveland area, brothers Ed, John and Rudy of Aurora. As her health got worse, she was so appreciative of the compassion given to her by so many. They were all so kind and helpful. “Such blessings from so many.” Private family funeral service will be held Tuesday at Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora with Fr. Steven Daigle officiating. Interment will be at a later date.
