Alice E. Wright

Memorial service for Alice Elaine Wright, 73, of Aurora, will be 1pm Monday, December 23, 2013 at Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora with Pastor Barbara Hegfors officiating. Friends may gather one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Aurora. Alice died Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at St. Mary's - Essentia Health in Duluth, MN. She was born April 14, 1940 in Red Lake County, MN to George and Pearl (Carrier) Riendeau. Following her schooling, she married Robert F. Wright on June 15, 1957 in Grand Rapids, MN. Following their marriage, they moved to Aurora where Alice was a homemaker and an active community volunteer. Alice was an avid bowler and a member of the Women's International Bowling, she enjoyed working Thursday evening BINGO at the Loon Lake Community Center for many years. She was a member of the Aurora American Legion Auxiliary and the Hoyt Lakes VFW Auxiliary. Survivors include her son, Jeffrey Wright of Aurora; daughters: Jean (Joe) Wilson of Anoka and Laura Wright of Virginia; grandchildren: Nicole (Brad) Bloomquist, Tiffany (Mike) Wilson-Henschell and Carla Maki; great grandchildren: Ethan, Braydon, Mayson and Abbie; sisters: Lucille Myhrer of Grand Rapids, Doris Allison of Cohasset and Yvonne Feltus of Nashwauk; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Pearl; husband, Robert; brothers: Art and Robert; sisters: Ella, Evelyn, Irene, Donna and Marie in infancy.
