Bennie Martinson

Funeral service for Bennie Martinson, 92, of Eveleth, formerly of Biwabik, will be 10am Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert with Pastor Brenda Tibbetts AIM officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in International Falls, MN. Bennie died Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Willow Wood Assisted Living in Eveleth, MN. He was born Feb. 22, 1921 in Roseau, MN to Simon and Martha Martinson. He attended country school near Greenbush, MN and worked on the family potato farm. On Aug. 13, 1960 he married Loretta Krause. Bennie worked for Erie mining Company as a blaster until his retirement. During retirement, he and his wife enjoyed raising dogs. Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
