Funeral service for Janet Nori, 78, of Eveleth, will be 10:30am Monday, January 13, 2014 at United In Christ Lutheran Church in Eveleth with Rev. Emily Rova-Hegener officiating. Visitation will be 2-4pm Sunday at Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert, and will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Burial will be in the Markham Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to United In Christ Lutheran Church. Janet died Wednesday January 8, 2014 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth surrounded by family. She was born January 8, 1936 at home in Markham to James and Elma (Nyyssela) Nesselroad Sr. during a blizzard. She was educated at County School #102, graduated from Aurora High School in 1954 and later attended the University of Minnesota-Duluth. She married her high school sweetheart, Walter Nori on October 1, 1955. After living in Alaska while Walter was in the Army, they returned to Minnesota in 1960. Janet was an active member and volunteer at United In Christ Lutheran Church. She retired from the admitting department of the Virginia Regional Medical Center in 1998. Janet was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed traveling and was a life long learner. Survivors include her three daughters: Shannon (Brian) Jussila of Eveleth and their family, Brianne (Steve) Pellinen and Nicole (Kyle) Nguyen; Michelle (David) Lanari of Lake Vermilion and their family, Mark (Ann) Lanari and daughter, Cecilia; Maria, Christopher, Benjamin, Jonathan and Alexander Lanari; Colleen (James) Bartzsch of Fort Wayne, Ind. and their son, Samuel; brother, James (Judy) Nesselroad Jr.; sister-in-law, Winone Nesselroad; numerous nieces and nephews. Janet is preceded in death by her parents, James Sr. and Elma; husband, Walter and brother, Paul "Wesley".
